This notice explains what Rapid Alpha collects when you use this website, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Who we are

What we collect
Information you give us
If you complete the Growth Gap Diagnostic and choose to submit it, we receive the email address you enter and your answers to the twelve diagnostic questions, together with the date and time of submission. Your score is shown to you on screen whether or not you submit an address — submitting is optional and is not a condition of seeing the result.
If you contact us by email, we receive whatever you choose to put in that message.
Information collected automatically
The site stores a small record in your browser's local storage. It holds the campaign parameters in the link you arrived by (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content), the address of the page that referred you, and the first page you landed on. This lets us tell which channel a visitor came from. It stays on your device until you clear your browser storage, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and browser user-agent strings.
Analytics, and the choice you are asked to make
Nothing in this section runs until you agree to it. On your first visit the site asks, in a banner at the foot of the page, whether you are willing to be included in analytics. Until you choose, no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookie is set. If you decline, none is ever loaded.
If you accept, we use TruConversion. It is a website-analytics service that shows us how pages are actually used: which sections people read, how far they scroll, where they click, and how they move through forms. To do this it records page interactions during your visit and sets its own cookies. It is not used to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with your email address.
If you accept, we also use Google Analytics 4. It records which pages you visit, how you arrived, and roughly where in the world you are, so we can tell which channels bring the right readers. Like TruConversion it sits behind the same consent and does not load at all until you accept. We do not link it to your email address, and we have not enabled Google’s advertising or cross-site features on it.
Changing your mind. Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. It clears the choice we have stored and asks again. Declining stops the script loading on every page from that point on. It cannot delete cookies that TruConversion has already set on its own domain — you can remove those through your browser's site-data settings, and browser privacy modes and tracker-blocking extensions also prevent the script loading.
The record of your choice is kept in your browser's local storage. That one item is strictly necessary — without it the site cannot remember that you said no — so it is not itself subject to consent.
Why we use it
- To respond to you. If you give us an email address, we use it to reply and to send the material you asked for.
- To understand which content works. Campaign and referral data tells us which channels bring the right readers.
- To keep the site working and secure. Server logs support troubleshooting and abuse prevention.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making about you.
Who we share it with
Service providers who process information on our behalf, each acting on our instructions:
- Our hosting provider, which serves this site and keeps the server logs described above.
- Microsoft. A diagnostic you submit is passed to a Microsoft 365 workflow and recorded in a spreadsheet held in Rapid Alpha's Microsoft 365 tenant. Our email also runs on Microsoft 365, so correspondence with us is stored there.
- TruConversion and Google (Google Analytics 4), and only if you have accepted analytics. Both are in the United States.
We do not currently use a separate customer-relationship system. If that changes, this list will be updated before the system is connected. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep diagnostic submissions and enquiry correspondence for 24 months from our last contact with you. After that we delete them, or strip them of anything that identifies you and keep only the aggregate. Server logs are kept for the shorter period our hosting provider retains them. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also ask us to stop using your email address at any time. Write to the contact address above and we will respond within a reasonable period.
You can clear the local-storage record this site keeps by clearing site data in your browser. Doing so does not affect your ability to use the site.
Where we are. Rapid Alpha, Inc. is incorporated in the State of Washington, United States. Information you give us is processed in the United States.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting what was done before you withdrew it. Write to privacy@rapidalpha.com and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to your national data protection authority; in the United Kingdom that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
Children
This site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the date at the top. Material changes — including switching analytics on — will be described here rather than made quietly.
